What I know about Fairground camping in Mineral Point:
1.) convenient
2.) not a lot of flat areas, but some
3.) shaded
4.) facility appears reasonably well maintained
5.) convenient
6.) did I mention convenient (the opposite end of town from Quality Inn)
What I have not yet been able to determine:
1.) if there is anything going on at the fairgrounds Memorial Day weekend
2.) fees
I keep trying to catch someone there. Phone calls have been unaswered. I must remind myself it is still April and they only recently unlocked the site. Will post more as I know more.
As earlier, Lake Joy campground is located about 10 miles from Mineral Point. I will be speaking to them this weekend. Will post fees after that. It is a private campground that has always been well maintained. Will no doubt be more $ than fairgrounds, somewhat less convenient. Stay tuned.
