Nice day ride report

by

Sev showed up this afternoon. Dropped off a sidecar project for me to get on the road. He brought along his DR350 so we unloaded it and I put one of the new Ballistic nylon Bruns Clothign riding jackets on him and we went out to explore some minimum maintenance roads.

one particular road had some REALLY sticky goop mud for several miles. It required paddle footing, sliding. THe mud stock everywhere. Stuck to the tires, filled in the knobbies, stuck to the sides of the tire till it rubbed on the forks. Twisted up my fork boots as it jammed in there even.

Here is Sev pulling some of it out so the bike would roll better.

Road sign says "travel at your own risk".

After 38 miles Sev had enough. We hit the pavement and headed back to Watertown and to Burritos on Broadway. OOOH YUMMY!
No photos of Burritos, but they are big and made to order. Goooooood stuff, good times, good friends. NOt a bad day at all. Then the rain and hail started.
HOpe Sev makes it home ok. He was really tired.
