I think learnig to ride when young, I mean preteen is best, because then the skills needed will be instinctive by the time they ride on the road.
I taught my son to ride, early teens, but he was never that into it, golf became his focus through his teens. When he was in college, he asked me to bring his motorcycle up to St Cloud so he could ride it to work and school etc. I said nope, I will not have you riding motorcycle in ST Cloud, too many crazy drivers, and you were not focused enough as a youngster to learn the skills, now the traffic skills needed, along with riding skills...........too much for me to worry about. Simply because I wanted him to be safe!
I have no problem with him riding as an adult, but I still want him to take the safety course.
Back to Farmer's Daughter, good for you! Stay safe!
I do have a nice Honda Rebel for sale, great starter bike, Teresa won't be riding it, she is onto the RZR now!
