I put a new set of Dunlop Elite 3 tires on my '96 Electraglide last spring. I was pretty amazed at the tire life I got out of them. The front tire still looks great and should last through this second back tire I just put on. I didn't run the tire down to cords either. I was on the wear bars but no where near being a dangerous tire.
For comparisons sake I was getting about 10,000 rear 20,000 front miles out of a D402 Dunlop on the same bike.
Anyways my point is I think they are a great tire and they are made in the USA. If they are available in a size to fit your bike don't be afraid to try them.
