As a dedicated revolver shooter the main problem has always been misfires, until I bought a Dillon 1050 and made an all important modification.
Over the priming station in the tool head is a blank hole. I tapped it out to 5/8 gas thread and turned up a hollow die that is screwed down to touch the shell plate when the handle is at the bottom of the stroke.
This will prevent the shell plate flexing up as all other presses do when priming. You can now adjust the primer seat to be just below the case head reliably every time and no more misfires.
I sent a fax to Dillon to tell them that it works great and not a response was heard.
