Just read JP's post and it sure brought back some great memories of great matches. I participated in all of them. I got a chance to meet Bill and Dennis. Got to be good friends with Dennis and what a shock when he passed. These matches were as popular almost as the Nationals and some of the greatest awards given out including Bills guns of course. A few came back to the St.Louis area with some of our shooters. Dennis went out of his way to make the whole thing a real special event and everyone feel like they were special, from the newbie all the way to the top shooters. The banquets and events he set up something else. I went back out there some years later and made a visit to the Casino, and when I walked into the lobby and all the PPC memorbilia gone just made me feel real sad. When I talked to some of the security people and asked about their shooting program or possibility of sponsering matches again, they just laughed, wasnt in the budget. So much for great era of PPC matches on a grand scale and elegant hospitality.Too bad. Many will never realize what they missed.
