What is the better ammo to use semi wadcutter or lead ball for the matches that require other than wadcutter.

My opinion may be one sided because I've always used the semi-wadcutter in stock and distinguished matches. Other than recoil, I haven't seen much difference between the full wadcutter and the semi-wadcutter. My groups are about the same in the slow fire stages (match 2 & 3). Someone who has used lead ball may be able to give you more info.
