I would say it has to be since the 1901 Terre Haute Hottentots were Brown's first professional team he played with. In 1902 he played for Omaha of the Western League. By 1903 he was a major leaguer.
I checked my 1905 Spalding Base Ball Guide on these guys. I mistakenly ID'd Frank for Joe Delehanty. And, I should've
known better for two reasons....the cameo does not look like Frank; and, besides Frank was only 19 years old in 1904.
Now Clymer is another story. The T206 listing ID's Clymer as Bill and that's where I think there's a problem. The Clymer
in the T206 set I think is actually Otis Clymer. If this is true you have discovered an error in the T206 listing.

One of the only appearances of HOF'er Frank Selee and also includes John Clarkson, Kid Nichols & King Kelly. This piece is actually a scorecard with the boxscore printed on back (I don't have a scan of the back available).

Ted - beautiful cabinet... wished I owned it. However, I do have some earlier images of Myron Moose Grimshaw. He lived in my home town so I have always been a Myron collector and have conversed many times with his grandson (now in his 80's and living in Florida). He still possesses photos of Myron in uniform dating back to '99.
Bruce sent me this to share with the board. Say what you want to but Bruce does have some lizard skin and is a good sport about letting things not get to him too much....And he does share more than many others do too......It's always nice to see awesome cards....

Kalamazoo Team Cabinets are exceedingly rare, indeed.
The first three we ever saw were in Sir Edward Wharton Tigar's London flat
back in 1978.
Two of those cards eventually were traded to Lew Lipset.
Our example, one of two known was from Wharton Tigar's collection, albeit
we added to our collection as the result of a complex purchase within the past
decade.
To the best our knowledge there are only 8 surviving examples
Boston- 2
Detroit 1
Athletics 2
Philadelphia 2
Pittsburgh (the rarest of the team cards) 1
Baltimore-we have never seen a KB team cabinet
There is one example in the Spalding collection at the New York Public Library. We believe
it was the Philadelphia team.
Sir Edward Wharton Tigar does describe these cards in the second edition of his
infamous book, "The World Tobacco Index" Said Index (in four parts) is must reading
for any serious historian of the hobby.

Nice cabinet Bruce. Your list is very accurate. Some minor modifications. To my knowledge the Spalding collection has only imperial cabinets, not cabinets. They are all of Philadelphia N.L. Also, I believe there are two known Detroit cabinets. BTW, adding imperial cabinets to the mix, besides what the Spalding collection has, there is one known imperial cabinet of Boston. Interestingly, inasmuch as its resolution exceeds that of the cabinet, it is probably the proof used to make both the cabinet and the card.

Another great thread, filled with outstanding cabinets.
Steve Murray - Neat comparison between the Sullivan cabinet and the Four Base Hits. Ever notice how the two differ near the bottom where the chest transitions to a cloudy background?
Scott Brockelman - Amazing, I really like Bruce Babcock's Duffy, but your stash makes them appear collectable. Great group of cabinets.
Love the K-Bat team cabinets. Corey, Bruce, do you believe there to be a 2nd Detroit K-Bat cabinet? I thought the recent Mastro example was the only known copy, discovered over the last year.
Lastly, I needed to add at least a single Tomlinson to the thread. It's not the most thrilling Tomlinson, but one I haven't shared in the past. It features Henry Gruber in street clothes (Detroit Wolverine pitcher at time of picture).
