Question regarding a player's identity

I am in the process of working on a comprehensive Colgan's checklist. I am stuck on Davis of St. Paul. Does anyone know his first name? I have exhausted my resources including a period guide. My suspicion is that while there may have been a Davis in St. Paul, the picture used resembles Harry Davis. Is this another photo of Harry mistakenly used? A brother? Any help would be appreciated.

John in my Colgans list I have the Davis for St. Paul as Alfonzo D. (Lefty) Davis. There are only a few Colgans players I haven't figured out yet, however Field (Montreal) does have me stumped though as I can't find any record of him.

(We should talk sometime in regard to this set as I think we are pretty close to the same # needed for the set, etc.)

Thanks Rhett. I had seen Lefty Davis mentioned a few times during my web searches but couldn't confirm. I will send you a copy of the checklist that I am working on in the near future. I have the players ranked from 1 to 5 relative to difficulty and would appreciate your input. Take care.

Do you agree that Lefty and Harry resemble one another?

John funny that you said you ranked the E254's on a scale of 1-5 because at some point last year I picked up my SCD and did the same thing and we should definately compare lists. From the 1's like Cobb and Wagner to the 5's like John Titus.
