My 1st American Beauty 460 card was Zach Wheat....and, it got me hooked on collect-
ing these backs, since I figured with a mere 103 cards that they would be easy......but,
not so.
The following is the maximum number of possible T206's that are in this sub-set.
55......350/460 Subjects
48......460-only Subjects
----
103 total
Note....the Six Super-Prints (Chance, 2-Chase's, Cobb, Evers, Matty) do not exist with
AB 460 backs. Furthermore, we can expect that a number of these 103 candidates are
AB 460 "no prints".
Currently, I have 40 - T206's with AB 460 backs. To date, approx. 65 of the 103 have
been confirmed with AB 460 backs.
My theory is that T206's with the AB 460 back were the very last T206 cards to be is-
sued (circa Spring/Summer of 1911). If I am correct, it would be neat to have the final
printing run of the T206 cards.
In any event, how about showing us your American Beauty 460 cards ?

I have Chance (Batting), Ford, Geyer, Hummel, McGraw (Glove on hip), Needham, Schulte (Back View) and this Gandil. I am always interested in trading for AB backs. Thanks, Bill
Ted, you're probably one of the few guys on the board that I'd probably GIVE the card to. I picked up like 5 Chases with rare backs in like a 3 month period a couple years back...and now I rarely see anymore. Is there a better set of images in the entire Monster than the Chases?
Ted, I have a Johnson hands at chest in a 5 holder (350 series) I bought from Quan and a Christy Mathewson (350) in a psa 5 holder as well from Tony. Will try to find them to scan later~

Wilhelm is another AB 460 from the 350/460 Series.
The 55 cards from the 350/460 Series cards are tougher to find with AB 460 backs than the 460-only cards. These 55 cards
with AMERICAN BEAUTY backs are mostly found with AB 350 (no frame) backs.
So far, this is certainly evident with the display of cards in this thread....only 12 of the 34 cards are from the 350/460 Series.

Willetts is one more Subject from the 350/460 Series. This one I have with both the AB 350
and the AB 460 backs.
Note....the difference between these two with respect to their Factory # and State. The 350
card was shipped to the very popular Factory #25 plant in Virginia in 1910.
The 460 card was shipped to the Durham, NC plant, which was producing the American Beauty
cigarettes at the time of the American Tobacco Co. break-up in 1911.
There are at least 20 more T206's with AB 460 backs that have not yet been displayed.
We have 43 different AB 460 cards on display here....who is going to make it #44 ?
