Cross Over Results

I thought this would be a decent gauge at cross overs. Here is what I sent in to cross to SGC

8 Boston Store Cards all PSA Graded

5 Boxing Cards 3 Jeffries (I felt were over graded) 1 Ogdens 1 T218

1 1915 Cracker Jack PSA

1 1914 Cracker Jack BGS

The results are as follows

Boston Store

2 1/2 point drop

4 Cross

1 went fron a 3 MC to a 2

1 went up a grade

T218 Up 1/2 Point

1915 Cracker Jack Dropped 1 Grade

1914 Cracker Jack Crossed

Ogdens Dropped 1 Grade (will ask about this one)

James Jeffries Boxing each dropped 1 grade but I thought PSA overgraded them anyway.

Overall, I think it shows that on mid grade cards all the companies are pretty much the same.

Thanks for sharing the results. My concern has never been on the lower to mid grade cards. It's always been on the 7 and above grades. Since my N172 Delehanty came back trimmed from PSA and it crossed to an SGC 84, I have always been leery.....I am quite sure it wasn't trimmed but had a normal cut for the series....best regards

Leon,

Oh I understand however I think there are several issues that certain compains have more trouble with then others. I have had a lot of trouble with PSA on Cracker Jacks. I think PSA is much tougher on the Boston Stores especially when the front is centered and the back isn't.

On the James Jeffries cards they were a 4, 6 and 7. But the color from the back had bleed to the front so badly yet they still were graded high. Once I got them in hand I knew they grades were too high, so I think it just depends.

I have also had several cards called trimmed from one company only to grade from the other.

No bashing here just sharing information and since I had a decent population of the boston stores I think it shows pretty well.
