If she really had a $10 BIN on it I can't imagine that someone didn't take a shot at it. (The story is inconsistent though. That story says it started at $10, but the link at the beginning of the paragraph links to another story from deadspin.com saying that it had a $10 BIN)

i dont think it was a BIN, the auction started at $10. geesh maybe one day something will fall in my lap. the 1914 jackson cracker jack was found the same way.. graded an sgc 80 and sold for $51k

Yep, saw it and laughed to tears when I read it. The good old days of seeing these types of finds are near an end.

Good for her. She looks like a nice lady. I'm always happy when such discoveries are made by decent, regular folks.

Checking out the moronic comments posted about this article on the Yahoo Sports site makes one thankful for Net54 and Leon's stewardship.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but opted not to post about it. How terrible. She looks like somebody's sweet grandmother.

Someone should really advise her to send it to REA or another auction house rather than list on ebay.

Definately a nice story but makes me a feel a bit guilty from complaining to my wife about THROWING CRAP out!  She is a pack rat also and often goes behind me to pull stuff out of the garbage after I have put it there.

She has to be pretty lucky, it says at the bottom that she won $250,000 on a slot machine too. I'm lucky if I win $5!
