They probably were, because the photographer was Warren who operated in Boston. But this is a later group of Lowell players, long past their heydey of the mid- 1860's.

The Lowell (MA) Clippers were in existence in the 1860s-70's, I believe. I have no idea what their uniforms looked like, however. The address on the back does state 89 Merrimack St. in Lowell, too.

EDIT: Interesting note: The Clippers played the Cin. Red Stockings in Andover, MA in 1870. Its amazing whatyou find out about your hometown after you move away. Sorry about the mini hijack, Adam. Back to your thread...happy.gif
