I live in Tallahassee Fla and haven't been to a card show in years. Can anyone recommend a show in the Southeast where there might be a chance of seeing some vintage material.
The hobby is not strong in the south.
I too live in Florida and the shows are weak.
There is a decent show in dania beach once a week.
Email for more info if you are ever in the broward/miami area.
i'm down here in good ole Pensacola and haven't been to a card show down this way since 1982.
i suspect i have more vintage cards than the state as a whole, at least since
Hal of T206 Wagner quit a couple of years back.
wish the national would at least come to Atlanta, then i could finally see
a good number of the best buddies.
Tampa Bay here. There is a decent vintage shop on the other side of the bay, but very little going on vintage card-wise in this neck of the woods. Without the internet, my vintage card collecting quest would be a very lonely one.
We have one long standing Card Shop in Nashville (Been here some 20 years) and it is still hanging in there right of 65 South of Nashville. There is another small shop North of Nashville as well. I visit from time to time to grab a few supplies, but that is it in the way of Shops.
As for Shows, we typically will have 1 small show every quarter somewhere around Nashville area. There are 2 guys that put on different shows, which are not too bad for a small show... Usually have some folks in from Ky, Bama, and Georgia...
The South is interesting as I have to believe with no Major Auction Houses, Card Shows, no National Tour, we are due for something.
I gotta believe there are still some ole Southern Attics,Trunks, etc. that are untapped as well...
