Good thing Ebay obscures buyers' IDs now so nobody can warn them about fakes. Gosh Ebay, you're swell.

What is "old" is the number of times ebay has been informed, over the past 10-12 years, how to identify a fake Wagner, and the fact they have done nothing to short circuit these auctions before they start. It's not as though ebay is being asked to authenticate a Ming vase from a photo. All they have to do is, when the most famous card in the hobby shows up on their site, look at the font.

But this would mean protecting unsuspecting bidders and losing fees.

You can track down the "winning" bidder after he gives feedback if you want to. I have done that a couple of times and it has led to refunds.

...I look at this and think the buyer gets what he deserves. The buyer is the one that thinks he's smarter than the rest of us who have to pay $250,000+ for this card. I want the buyer to lose his money.
