Harry Kallas & Mark Fidyrch Pass

Sorry to report that Harry Kallas legendary Phiilies broadcaster &
former Tiger pitcher Mark Fidyrch was found dead under a truck he was working on at age 54 today

I had the good fortune of having Mark Fidrych make a personal appearance and sign autographs in my store in the early 90's. I remember him as a real nice down to earth guy- who was happy to see fans who remembered him. It was a blast. Some women came in who chased Mark during his Tiger Days. One had a picture of Mark getting out of the shower- which she wanted autographed. He got a kick out of that- and gladly signed. He seemed like a heck of a guy! Rest in peace......
