Can anybody tell me where to get a check list for the M116'S ? I bought the (The Encyclopedia Of Baseball Cards) by LEW LIPSET And i must say i can find every thing but the m116'S.I just need a list so i can buy CINCINNATI players only. THANKS,CHRIS MY email is cagard1@comcast.net
Chris- You won't be able to get them all because I believe there is only one known Bates REDS in existence. Carboard gives it an "8" for scarcity, it should be an 11! The rest of the team set is doable if you have the money and patience...

I just spent several months of my life expanding the M116 checklist from about 320 to 399, and already somebody wants more???
And by the way, Bob, my good friend, "Cardboard" gives Bates an 8 because TIM gives it an 8. Obviously it's an impossible card and the scale I devised only goes to 8. So I gave it the same number as the other impossible cards, Seymour Baltimore etc, of which there are only a tiny few known--

The reason i was asking was because they are listed under the REDS and should be CINCINNATI NATIONALS. Also the GRIFFITH card CINCINNATI NATIONALS i have is not even listed, but is listed under the SENATORS thats why i was asking for another listing to cross check.
for pointing out the mistake on Griffith. We've had to correct a few mistaken team designations on the checklist, and this is another one I hadn't spotted. So thanks again--
As far as "Nationals" vs. "Reds" goes, I decided for purposes of efficiency to use the familiar nicknames of the teams, even though some of them are anachronistic (like Braves and Dodgers), because using Nationals and Americans would have made it necessary to use the city name too, and that would take up a lot of extra webpage room. So the team listing on the checklist is not the same words actually printed on the cards.

"'Cardboard' gives Bates an 8 because TIM gives it an 8."
LOL. Tim, I should have read the bottom which shows 8 is the highest number given except for unconfirmed cards which are given a 9.
My bad. See you in Cleveland
