Legendary Web site slowness?

April 29 2009 at 9:03 PM

Has anyone been experiencing slowness at www.legendaryauctions.com this evening? I've found the home page slow to load, and signing in has been a problem.

Wonder if the slowness will carry over to the consignor payments department.

What!!!??? How could anyone move to a new website and not have adequate bandwidth to provide acceptable levels of service? That's very disconcerting!

I hear that Dave. It's bad enough waiting up for auctions but I have no patience when I can't even get on to bid!

maybe it was a ploy to get more bids before tomorrow's "real" closing. Guess what... It worked.

Can bidders place bids in extended bidding if they have not already placed qualifying bids previously?

Um, the software/servers were overloaded when just half the lots were scheduled to go off tonight...so tomorrow night it will be double the lots. Should be very smooth.

Kudos to those of you who will stay up until 12:30 a.m. Eastern, which apparently is when the deadline for initial bidding has been extended. My guess is there will be bargains to be had.

It does look like they extended bidding by an hour as of now. Without any other info I would go by the clock.....I go to bed late anyway so no big deal for me.

extended one hour

April 29 2009, 10:46 PM

Doug just gave me a quick call and since the site is working fine now they have decided to extend the auction bidding one hour. So the auction clock is correct right now. I am sure they will send an email out but this is the latest on what is going on...regards
