As I'm sure everyone is aware by now, a great man and spiritual leader, our Pope John Paul II passed away. He was a man with a remarkable spirit and lead the Roman Catholic Church through many moments during his Pontificate.
As a Catholic, I feel that he was able to touch me on a personal level and helped me renew my faith in God. I met him at World Youth Day in Toronto and his ability to reach out and touch others will never be forgotten. He is a symbol of strength and courage. He brought God to the people, and helped his faithful through their lives. I'm only 20 years old, but I feel that he was able to connect with me on a level that no other person could, and for that I will forever praise God. God chose a very wise representative to lead the Church and I pray that our next Pope will lead us into the next Pontificate with as much grace and strength that Pope John Paul II had.
Pope John Paul II rest in peace and enjoy eternity with God the Almighty Father forever. Amen.
