A word from our sponsor, Mr. Socks

May 6 2009, 3:56 PM

Didn't I read that when Laura's family was real poor they stuffed moss and grass in their shoes because their socks were worn out.

Too bad they didn't have No Socks Day back then, like they do now. Why, it's this coming Friday.

http://www.zanyholidays.com/2008/05/no-socks-day.html.

Jim

ps. I just made up that part about Mr. Socks being our sponsor.

Already been there and done that with my wife and four daughters. The best(not) memory of the De Smet site is the head lice that one of my daughters got from the borrowed sunbonnet at the school.

Burrito combo bonus is better?

May 8 2009, 2:19 PM

Don't like LIW? How about this idea for a brilliant combo bonus:http://tinyurl.com/ps44gj Pick up a receipt for a burrito from each El Famous location; you must eat what you purchase.

Personally, I thought their chorizo was under-spiced.
