Left on Thursday and drove straight through to Prince George to pick up DS2. The insurance co. did not make arrangements to pay for the towing and storage, so I had to pay for it out of pocket. Stayed overnight, then drove straight through back home. Had a little problem with a trailer wheel in Edmonton which cost me a new wheel and some tools.
The bike is at the Hitching Post in Hopkins. Adjuster will be there on Tuesday. I am hoping that he will not declare the bike totaled. Can't afford another one.
If they can fix it, I hope it will be on the road in a couple weeks.
I also drove out to the scene of Bambi's assault. The bike came to rest on the edge of the road, where a small curb turned the wheel and kept it going down the road. Otherwise, it would have gone over the edge of a 10-12 foot almost vertical embankment. No guard rail.
So I was doubly lucky. No serious injuries and I'm sure the bike can be fixed.
And I hope to be on the start line for the MN1K. |
