Actually, Jim, I'm skeptical about the attention paid to me during the riders' meeting - like that time I warned people not to cross a closed US border entry station. At least three people were obviously not paying attention.
...they would have let Buell sell his bikes in non-Harley dearlships. I think a Buell sitting among Ducatis and Triumphs would have been a better place to offer a sporting "USA-World bike" alternative.
I had a fling with an '08 XB12STT this year...I did let the bike go, but I had a blast on it....and have, at many times since, regretted selling it.
It is a shame, and honestly it was a bit of a surprise, I really thought Buell had been given a reprieve.
Just like the stock market, for every loser there is a winner: 2008 & 2009 1125R $5821, XB12XT $6356. At those prices you could ride it until the warranty expires and throw it away.
I wonder what brand Bubba Blackwell will switch to?
I tihnk this quote has more to do with shuttering Buell than anything.
"On a year-to-date basis, [Harley-Davidson Financial Services] has incurred $110.8 million loss..."
Way too many risky loans that went bad.
Also, the quotes from Wandell won't give HD employees or their dealers any warm fuzzy feeling that he knows what's wrong and how to fix it, just the opposite.
