However, what I required was a revelation of what the "science" of Heumenetics, said about woman's place in society.
By the way I am not an Atheist. Atheism is a system of beliefs in itself. I believe in nothing, not even myself. Look up "nihilism" in your dictionary. Probably the only thing Christianity and I agree upon, is the possibility that what we regard as reality, is perhaps an illusion. But who knows, or who cares? I look forward to a return to the original thread.
My hypothesis on this matter is, there is no such thing as equality. We are quite dissimilar parts, (halves?) of the human race. Each is as essential as the other. In a traditional society the roles are clearly defined. Man is the warrior and hunter. Woman is the chid-rearer and homemaker. That is why in some warrior societies, the line of descent is matrilineal. For indeed, the male line may be wiped out in the next battle.
Of course, in modern western countries, the line has become somewhat blurred. Most of the tasks can be done, as well, if not better, by women. At the moment women seem to have the upper hand. If a man makes a comment, he is jumped upon from great and dizzy heights. Men cannot even have an exclusive club as a refuge, (when needed), without it being invaded by some militant females. I observe that men, seldom seek to become members of female only clubs.
This imbalance of power in the west, is probably only the wheel turning the full circle. It will pass with time, and a rational balance will be restored. These joys are yet to be experienced by PNG. It will probably be another generation, before women achieve total equality in PNG. Men must remain men though. If you allow women, to mould you into a poor reflection of what they think they want, they will reject you. You only have to look at the USA and Aust, to see this is true.
Oh! In case someone accuses me of it. I do not condone violence against women. In fact, one of the few things that causes me to fight, outside of the Boxing ring or the Karate mat that is, is the sight of someone hitting a woman. This will be so, until I am too old and feeble to do anything sbout it.
Regards......Ralph.
