Another great piece from an astute observer, Countryside.
My fear is, as I keep mentioning, there will be a power vacuum! when the old man calls it a day.
You call it "respect", maybe it is, or charisma, or just that the old man has been in the game for so long, he has indeed developed intuition, and can read the signs and body language and rhetoric of all those other (younger) players. Yep, again he was brilliant in pulling off that latest one.
On the other side, the so-called dream team comprises some characters who have behind them some not so attractive legacies.
So it makes one wonder, would it have been better or worse, if the other side was at the helm?
Having said that, I can understand the angry youth on the streets (and sometime here too!) yelling....
