Response to Re: PMC HERE TO STAY

I always like these statements "leave the thinking to people who talk sense" as you have described Those statements make me smile because it's such a PNG thing we do. But what you conveniently overlook is that the more we leave the talking nd thinking to others, the less we are a working democracy and the more that those above us who aren't so knowledgeable end up down stupid pathways. I understand that its important to you that we remain in our traditional authoritarian system that only the big man thinks and talks and everyone follows but the very developed countries that you admire have little tolerance of that kind of nonsense. Everyone should share their opinion, no matter how dumb the smart asses amongst us think about it. By talking and discussing is how we all move forward in knowledge.

BTW have you seen the "letter of support" passages from the Clinton Foundatoin in USA that the DisHon. Sasa Zibe has produced (he won't produce the actual letter) to "prove" that the Americans were going to support this white elephant called PMC? It's nothing more than a generalised letter of support with absolutely no tangible commitment made. To think that Evan Paki in the USA was completely fooled by a generic "pat on the back" letter is frighening because it shows that some of our people on top are incredibly naive. In this case the error was harmless but its a perfect example of how PNG gets so easily tricked and fooled.
