Response to Re: How can we develop our country?

I agree with Chris's point. Democracy is a dynamic interaction between the elected represtative leaders and the constituents that they represent. Each reacting off each other.

Democracy as a concept is great - look at all the countries who have developed into mature nations and look at their political models.

HOWEVER, democracy works best when the constituents are informed and activeles participate in the political decision making process.

We need people who are knowledgeable about the constitution & law who can educate and rally the people in demanding better performance from government. Politicians will not police each other. How can a pot call the kettle black?

Once the people as a mass speak in one voice, the politicians sit up and take note. If a political party or a group of likeminded individuals can clearly explain how government is supposed to work and how governement decision really impact people and how people can affect government - i believe that governement will become more accountable. Not totally incorruptable but at least responding to the people.
