Response to Leaders Edge: Change in PNG

Good points...Change happens to us,within us, around us or we cause change. The world is changing faster than we think.change is inevitable irrespective of location, race, colour, creed, etc.The challenge is how we respond to change. Most likely we will:

1. Resist change when happens to us or
2. We adjust ourselves to accoommdate that change or
3. We avert change.

It really depends on our ability to foresee change and be able to accommodate that change. If leadership is visionless and irresponive to change that is happening, change will force itself on us.In the 1980s, I used to watch Rambo movie using a projector, in the 1990s i used to watch rambo movie in a cassette player. In the late 2000 I again watched same rambo movie in a CD player, now i can watch the same movie in a flash drive, or in a mobile phone!!.Same movie but the mode of transmission has changed.Change has happened!!. The managemnet of goverment like the movie has cahnged too but we have not changed our systems to flow with it. If you have leadership that is unwilling to change its governanace systems, process and procedures in confirmity with change in technology and communication then we have to spend much to accommodate, flow with the rest of the world.More catching up to do. Political leaders must be innovative thinkers.Leaders must not assume that the rest of the world is watching Rambo in a projector in the 21st century!! By embracing the colonial mindset we lost the plot.Indeed the world has changed. we are a 1000 years behind to catch up becuse for 36 years we lost sense and direction!!!
