Quick answers to the 3 questions posed above. These are my views by the way as I see things from the ground.

      1. OBE is mainly driven by AusAid under the auspieces of educational reform assistance to the people
of PNG. The PNG Education Department appears to be used as a "rubber stamp". The OBE debate is initiated by concerned academics, parents, guardians and passionate PNGeans who are concerned with the results of the OBE so far and its deemed results in the years to come.

      2. It is being extensively and widely debated with countless letters to the daily papers
and also talked and discussed about in homes, schools and streets in PNG.

      3. There is zilch (nil)involvement of parents and local communities in OBE and OBC decision making
processes. There's no bipartisanship here. Decisions are made remotely and shoved down the throat
      of the masses.

      Thanks,

      PNG
