Realism vs Believability. And please move this thread to the main forum.

"All the poison skills like Poison dagger, venom, nova, etc. should be continuous. I'm not saying that it has to be 200 damage per six seconds or anyhting, but it just has to be similiar to real life."
There is a big difference between what's realistic, and believable in a game. Is it realistic to be able to do something like a Poison Nova? Is there anyone in real life that can do that? Not counting the aftermath of a frank and beans dinner, it's not realistic at all. But it is believable within the setting of the D2 game universe. Besides, a lot of D2 skills are just very loosely based in reality to begin with.
If you have thoughts and opinions on D2 skill sets, base them on things like game balance, not on real life. If you want to base your suggestions on real life, D2 wouldn't be appropriate. Something like a flight simulator would be. And next time please post these kinds of thoughts in the main forum.
