I managed to defeat Diablo in non-Ironman, solo Sorcerer, at about L24. The only interesting fact about this guy, Elvis, is that he didn't have a Holy Bolt stronger than SL4 even after defeating the big guy.
In Ironman, a solo Sorcerer has defeated the Butcher, but I haven't been able to slide past Leodis without leaving the floor littered with my own blood.
Is it fair in Solo Ironman to restart in town? (I assume no town services are available, but it's pretty hard to make it through without ever dying.
