KoP, some questions

Thanks for the words of encouragement, KoP!

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here:

<IIRC, you can get in a couple more clvls yourself and
still get the warrior to lvl 9 dur to the exp cap - some exp is wasted.>

Lvl 9? Exp cap? You mean the endgame, where my rogue chose not to level up? Or . . . ? Can you clarify here?

Also, are you saying that since the game autoresses dead characters on 16 if you defeat Diablo that you do NOT have to "burn" a res scroll if you choose to continue to Nightmare? Is that standard official ironman practice? Would this also be true if BOTH characters die, but Diablo dies due to Firewall damage? Is that possible?

And finally, and this is just *hypothetical*, if you started a Normal game with the express intent to try and continue to Nightmare (and then to Hell?) difficulties, if you found a Glimmering Shrine in the Normal game, could you choose NOT to use it until you reached the Nightmare/Hell game? What about an Eldritch shrine? An Enchanted one? A Hidden one?

What about Blood Fountains and Purifying Springs? What is the official ironman ruling?

Aren't there certain items that CANNOT be dropped in Normal games (read HoS), so it would make sense to try and hold on to identifies (via scrolls or shrines) for as long as you possibly can? And don't at least the BASE drops get better each game difficulty?

Just curious.
