I, too, amd searching for the records on James Miller. On another forum you posted that he claimed his father was wounded at Kings Mountain. Problem is I have located a listing that shows 2 Millers wounded there (http://www.tcarden.com/tree/ensor/Kingsmountainroster.html#M.) Have you had any luck in tracing back any farther.
Please let me know if this helps (or hurts). I am willing to share what I have but probably don't have much more than you do.
Also I saw you were interested in Keziah. My brother was able to located the Wells Cemetery, which contains the grave of Kizzie Wells and Abraham Miller(http://www.abraxis.com/beegee/Kentucky/CemeteryBooks/cbtwo033.htm.) Interesting to note are the graves of James C & Sarah F Prichard who are the married brother and sister of Susan F Prichard-Miller and Andrew Miller, respectively.
