My Grandmother and Grandfather are Hiram and Dorothy Keith. Her twin sister's name is Gertrude Worley. Her husband's name is Oscar. I remember going to Whitley City when I was young to visit them. My grandparents moved to Michigan. My mother was born by Detroit. My grandma's brother's are Marshall, Virgil, Tom, and I think Oscar. My parents were Leon McKeehan and Eva Powell of Corbin, KY. Leon was a son of J. C. (James Calvin) McKeehan who died in 1933 in Harlan Co., KY, and Ollie Alsip. Eva was the daughter of John A. Powell and Mollie Godsey. Have lines to Sears, Gibson,Farmer, Litteral(?) and McFarland. Any information on either of these families would be appreciated. Searching for information on Nathan C. Cox born in 1833/34 in Whitley County, KY. Married Laura ?. Possible middle name Carlysle, or Charles (?). Laura was born in 1834 in Ohio - no maiden name. Laura and Nathan had a son, Albert Carlysle Cox who married Etta Mae Stout. These are my g-grandparents. Albert and Etta Cox had 4 sons, including my grandfather, Charles Norvile Cox. Looking for information on Thomas Balew and Susan Bray who lived in Whitley Co. at time of 1880 Census. Susan is listed as widow in 1900 census - had 3 children, Susan (b. abt 1886), Sarah (b. abt. 1890) and Peter (? birth and not really sure of this name, but know there was a son). Sarah married James Dennis Sharp abt. 1903 and is my grandmother. I'm trying to locate marriage information for Thomas and Susan, and birth information for Thomas. Census records state he was born in Kentucky. Variations on spelling of last name exist - Belew, Balew, Belue, etc. Anyone familiar with this family?

I, too, amd searching for the records on James Miller. On another forum you posted that he claimed his father was wounded at Kings Mountain. Problem is I have located a listing that shows 2 Millers wounded there (http://www.tcarden.com/tree/ensor/Kingsmountainroster.html#M.) Have you had any luck in tracing back any farther.

Also I saw you were interested in Keziah. My brother was able to located the Wells Cemetery, which contains the grave of Kizzie Wells and Abraham Miller(http://www.abraxis.com/beegee/Kentucky/CemeteryBooks/cbtwo033.htm.) Interesting to note are the graves of James C & Sarah F Prichard who are the married brother and sister of Susan F Prichard-Miller and Andrew Miller, respectively.
Hello, to anyone with info on the Neal family. My great-grandmother was Stella Honey. Her mother was Elizabeth Neal, and she married Isiah Brown. They were all from from the Wayne county, and the liberty ky area. We don't know a whole lot about the family, accept they were of indian blood. I'm looking for any info regarding my Great-Grandfather Franklin A. Cooper. All I know is he was born Oct. 1873 in Pennsylvania, died ?. He maried Nellie Crocket Williams (who was b: Jun 1879 in Wythe County, VA.) in 1895 in Whitley County, KY. They had 8 children, James B., Alice, Louis L., William F., Robert R., Mildren N., Edward and Kennith. The family moved to Jefferson or Marion County, IN at some point. I cannot find who Franklin A. Cooper's parents or siblings were or where/when he died. Any help at all would be a much appreciated.

Hi My maiden name was Swain. My Greatgrandfather was Mathew Swain and Greatgrandmother was Margaret Ann Wilson. They lived around the Jellico Creek Community. They had sons name, Henry, Dennis, William (Bill), Arnold, and daughter name Mattie, and Dora or Zora. Mathew and Margaret are buried in the Emlyn Cemetary at Williamsburg Ky. I have been told that he was a minister or the choir director at the Emlyn Baptist Church. He died in 1939. Margaret died in 1952. I am the granddaughter of James Burl Spradlin. I never have met him nor do I think he ever saw me, but I SO wish to find out if he is still alive or if he has family I can get to know.
The only info I have on him is his name, his firstwifes name and his siblings.
His first wife is my grandma. Peggy Jone(Byrd)Ferrol. She was only 13 or 14 when they got married and her Dad unauled the marriage.

James was born to the Ethel I found on 13 Dec 1936. I am not sure if this is possible, but guessing it could be.
My grandpa James gave up rights to his daughter Debra Gale ( my mother ) when she was only 2. And Glenn King, adopted her. From what I have heard, Grandpa James was kinda a wild man, loving woman and liqueir.
Anyone having some info about this man or his family would be a great treasure to me.

Looking for descendants of Joseph Peace born 1775 in PA and died in Siler, Kentucky Sept. 19 1853. Wife unknown. Children were: Leroy-1800, Simon-1802, Elizabeth-1804, Sophia1805, Rev. Andrew-1806, Thomas L.12/25/1809, Rev. John-1816, Nancy-1819, Ewell-1824, there are two-three more but the names have faded and I can't make them out. Nancy was born in Poplar Creek and the earlier ones possibly in Knox County, KY.
I believe that Wm McKiddy is the son of John McKiddy, from Scotland , and Rose McKiddy, also from Scotland.
Believe he also had a brother named Thomas.

I'm trying to find out who my gg grandfather, William McKiddy b 1840, mother was. We have learned he was born out of wedlock and his father was Little Berry Croley b abt 1815. We believe his mother was Elender McKiddy Davis b abt 1815. Elender married Joseph Davis abt 184?. They had at least 4 children, Ishmal, Elizabeth, possible James & ?. Elender is also the mother of Robert McKiddy b abt 1831 and Elias McKiddy b abt 1832. Any info would be appreciated. I'm thinking if I can find a desendent of Elender McKiddy Davis they may have a family bible.

Can I ask why you think this was Williams sister? I'm trying any and all connections to find Williams parents. We do know his dad was LittleBerry Croley and he was born out of wedlock. William's granddaughter Nan McKiddy Wright told this to my cousins back in the 1980's. We think Elender was his mom as she was the only McKiddy woman of childbearning age in the Whitley Co KY area at that time.
My sister, Kimberly Humfleet, has been missing for 2 years. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts please respond. Last seen in the London, Keavy, Corbin areas.
