I read a lot of things on this site and I think it's great that we can all come together and help with this process. However, calling people names at this stage of you professional education is really uncalled for. I have heard a range of experiences people have had with all sorts of scores. So to tell someone they have no chance is really bad advice. Yes, I agree a lot of programs look for scores, but what most of you do forget is they are looking at you as a package. If you have great scores but are an ******* you can also forget getting a slot. My brother-in-law was on the selection committee at LSU and my roommate at Tulane as well and both have told me the playing field is harder for IMG's however, the ones they looked hard at were the ones they felt they could really work well with for the duration of the program. I was told if they got any hint that you were an ass or hard to work with you would not get a slot. We all need to stick together, stay positive and when you are place in a program we should all do our best to help others get in. We need to stick together like they do in US schools. We can all get what we want if we are smart about it. If they only took IMG's with high score there would be very few in programs today. But just look at the AMA match stats and they will show the IMG match is up and I know for a fact several are in good programs with medium scores. So, be positive and stop slapping each other down. By the way this is my real name in case anyone would like to contact me please do so. I am in Baltimore and they are really nice to IMG's here.
