As the title suggest my sisters standard 1.4 has given in. She clipped the kerb yest and paid the price today when her CV joint failed which spread to her gearbox causing the engine to grind to a hault. apart from that everything else works fine.

It has got non standard alloys, 5 spoke i think, i'll get a pic up later, (just a few marks but not bad) they come complete with spigot rings and variable PCD bolts (wobbly bolts) these alloys have a cavity that allows the standard disc or drum screw to remain in place. so its just a case of one off one on.

the rest of the car is stock and up for grabs body panels, lights, the lot, all parts negotable based in bristol if anyone wants to come look and strip parts.

where abouts in bristol chap, my Marea's ariel has had it.......
I'm after the base and actual ariel as mine dowsn't want to unscrew

she is in soundwell i'm going over tomorrow after work I'll see if I can get it off for you

yeah still have the alloys they need 2 new tyre's and are in average condition i'll get some close up's on tomoz oh and they are 15's

Hey Tim,

No worries, like I said, I'm not in a major rush, had the car for a year with a radio signal close to a 1960's record player

all I think it is, my base unit has gone all 'floppy'
It won't click into an angle so I don't think the main metal parts are making contact.

Tried unscrewing the ariel from the base but ended up rounding it off with pliers

My work times net week are all over the place chap, but if you give us a call sometime, we can work something out.

I am right in thinking that the ariel base on all brav'/mareas are the same??

haha, just had a thought that they might be different sizes. I'm sure there not.

also chap, depending one the condition, the base plates for the door mirrors, mine are corroded. again need to check that they are the same size
