Ok so i got my new marea today, few things i need to know,
- Does it have child locks? if so where are they located?
- The rev counter don't work, anyone know how to fix it?
- The flip down tailgate thing doesn't lock up ... any ideas?
- And lastly and most important of all, there is a knocking, very very small amount, in what appears to be the front near side wheel, didnt pick up on it on the test drive. could this be suspension bushes or something more sinister?
1.If im right,Child locks are on the rear doors in the door edge,a little white knob thing,Push it down and itll be on.
Not too sure on the others tho mate :s

Yes, on the inner edge of the rear doors, just below the latch, you will see a white plastic circle with a slot in it. Turn it and that puts the child locks on.
The rev counter don't work, anyone know how to fix it?
No, sorry, can't help you on that.

Try tightening all the bolts on the latches either side (both on the body and the tailgate). They can work loose and prevent the latch from catching.
And lastly and most important of all, there is a knocking, very very small amount, in what appears to be the front near side wheel.
Sounds very much like the anti-roll bar links that I mentioned in your earlier post. They'll rattle more over a bumpy surface than a smooth one.
Hope that helps.

Circles? Hmmm, must just be on older cars then that are little knobs that you push down..I knew they were in the door edge anywayt as ive had to use them in the past
Might be a Mk.1/Mk.2 thing, Mike. I'm sure mine are like a white plastic screw. I'll try and take a pic later
Either way, they should be fairly obvious.
As for the drop links Will, I'm not that mechanically minded but I'm told it's a relatively cheap & quick job.

for your headlight washers to work you have to have your lights turned on then just do as if u wer going to wash the windscreen and they will automatically come on
