i know it sounds rediculous, but i cant get my head unit to fit properly? i've got it wired up and working, but, it just wont go into its slot correctly and it doesn't fit in its fascia properly, it's really annoying me as i've fitted copious amounts of head units, but, this one is the only one i've had trouble with, it keeps moving forward when im driving.

please help

many thanks

P.S I'm quite embarrassed to be asking, as it is a simple job, so, please don't take the piss too much haha happy.gif

What car and what head?
If your putting a standard head in a bravo. You have that little peg on the back of the head that has to go into a little hole. if its not in your head sticks out. Oh er.

Just wiggle it in that case and gently push it should go in.

you may just need to fiddle with the wiring abit at the back and try and move it to one side as it maybe in the way slighty my sony hu is the same a very tight fit and i had to move the wires a few times to get it right and then it just about clicks into place

Yer as andy said,Just give it a good wiggle and make sure all your wires are right at the back or even tucked down somewhere so you can squeeze ya HU in..
Also,You say it keeps jumping forward, have you managed to get ya cage in properly and tight, and did you push those clips down, you know to keep the cage in? Once you have got them prongs bent down (1 at top, poss 2 at bottom) Then ya cage shouldnt go nowhere and neither will ya stereo once it is pushed right in happy.gif

yeah i used the cage i got with the HU, but didnt secure it as the HU wouldn't go all the way back and click in? it looked better just the head unit sticking out, rather than the whole lot? i have to keep pushing the HU back while im driving,
its really annoying, the rattle is unbearable!!

i ended up removing the dials so i could pull the wires from the other end while putting my headunit in.

be warned not to 'test' the headunit with the dials out tho, as you'll then get the airbag light come up (implying something is missing from its circuit - this can only be turned off by fiat at a cost of 45 quid or so)
