my passenger window would go down slowly, but not back up, and when it did, it went bit by bit!

DAAA DA DA DAAAAAA!!!! WD-40 to the rescue!!!

HAHA,
I got the window down, by pressing button and pushing the window gently. Once down I sprayed the rubber edges, and presto! window works!

If not, then pop your switch out of the passenger door, unplug the switch and run 2 wires direct from your battery to the window wires. (one positive and 1 negitive)
If your window works the you know its not the motor.

Hi mate, thought i would start fresh lol
Im hoping its not the motor as i replaced it from a scrappie during start of summer last year and all worked fine..rite up until i took it off the road for 3 months (Jan/Feb/Mar_Cudnt afford tax at the time)...Everythin works on the car, electrics and that,Battery just needed chargin lol Since its been back on the road, the passengerside window wont work.Driversa does :s lol
Ive took the doorcard off, sprayed wd40 all around the edge of the window and the runner.I also wrapped my hand around the actual motor, and when i pressed the switch(s) i could feel it vibrate when it ticked..So am i right by presuming there is a Live goiing to it and the fact its just jammed maybe??

I had an issue with my passenger door window motor. It would go down fine but struggle like merry hell going up.

Tried some silicon spray to no avail so got a new motor.

Fitted it to find there was no difference! Was not amused! Whilst the door card was off, I went on the overkill on lubricant spray - end result? It worked. Been fine ever since.

If you need a window motor, I have one spare out of a 51 plate happy.gif (I wasn't fitting it back in!)

ummm.....

when the door card is off, the motor run a x type hinge which pushes the window up, could try wd-40 on that as well.....

I had the prob on my passenger window and just spray on the rubber fixed it, but I have the problem on the rear window now and spraying the rubber doesn't work on there, so I'm going to look at the 'X' hinge

Think i may borrow shauns switch as a test (as i know his works) and go from there..

Oh,when i replaced the motor,(Well soon as i bought the car really).Cus the window wud go down a bit then make a grinding noise and stick BUT we could push it and it'd go down again..Straight away i thought 'the motors had it'...
But this time,we cant seem to push the window down aswell as using the switch(s),its like its stuck lol
