Hi all.

Having trouble getting my car started (bravo 1.6 sx 2001)

A massive rock went under my car and hit the bottom of the vehicle pretty hard. The car just died instantly.

I thought it could be the fuel cut off switch since this is what usually happens when most cars have a ding. Tried this and nothing

There is a good spark and good compression...

The fuel pump will not turn on as it doesnt receive any Volts. All wires are fine, fuses are fine.

Anyone had trouble with the fuel cut off switch not actually working???

Tried to stick power from a battery to the pump but i cant get in to see what is the live feed.

Any advice is good advice.

Thanks for your time.

Stevie

P.S... Easy start will allow the engine to fire up but cuts out when i stop spraying it so it is deffo a fuel fault

Check the relay and the fuse that are located under the plastic cover left of the brake oil tank. That fuse and relay control the petrol pump.

Sorry mixed up the mk1 and mk2.
Here are the component locations, you need the numbers 3 and 4.

Hi all, thanks for the support so far.

Checked the picture out and the fuses and relays shown on the pic are not there, neither are a few other items on the pic. Is there another model?
Thanks

There is, but basically its the same - take a pic of your engine, that would help.

Hi all, thanks for the help so far.

Had a look at the bravo tonight. Got the fuel pump working now.!.!.

It still will not start tho. Tested the Voltage to the injection rail and there is only 2V. I thought they needed 5V? What could this be?

There is 5v to every other sensor, a good spark and good compression.

I'm lost now sad.gif

Any ideas?

Thanks
