just bought a r reg hgt off my dads mate who said the cambelt had gone.it turns out to be the fanbelt lol,but it must of knocked the timing out cos he said it made a nasty clangy noise and now wont start,so i bought it to break(most parts will be available)
its done 77k

just a quiery, did the belt snap? tensioner collapse? just fall off cos it wasnt tensioned enough? (just so i can stop it happening to mine lol)

the cambelt is still ok,its the fanbelt tensioner that collapsed and moved to the end of its shaft so the fan belt has frayed and some must of caught the cambelt and knocked the timing out lol.

its not uncommon for a belt to come off and cause the cam belt to jump a few teeth

the fav to go is the power stearing belt (and it wouldnt have been the fan belt that snapped, it doesnt have one!

aup mate im after a passenger side abs sensor 8)

how much for the front and rear doorcards?

also what colour is the plastic trim? is it grey or black?

its the plastic tray that sits under the engine....possibly called the underbay tray lol my technical glossary is shocking .....
