How to fix a speedometer,i also need a mechanic in Tunbridge Wells area

Hello guys,i have to take the care for an MOT and my speedometer is not working..can i pass the MOT? if not...how to fix it...for less money i heard it cost like 100 quids for it.

I also need one good mechanic in Tunbridge Wells area to fix a gearbox

Officialy no, it won't pass an M.o.T. without a working speedometer and is not road legal.

In reality, the tester is'nt going to know it's not working unless he drives it. Ibn the distant past, I've had 1 car and 1 m/cycle pass tests with non-functioning speedos, but in both cases I fixed them anyway with new cables afterwards for not much expense.

While it is illegal to have a non-working speedometer it is not an mot requirement. the tester can give you an advisory if he notices that the speedo is not working

No it will fail, i had same problem on my old 1.6sx bravo and it was the speed senser in the gearbox, i would get it sorted asap as my speed sensor then wiggled though and managed to destroy 5th 4th 2nd and 1st gear leaving me with only 3rd and reverse to drive home from wales (i live in york so thats over 500miles!) haha

oh the joys of when i was a fiat owner!!
