Central Locking wiring

hey guys, i have strange central locking that will only work from the passenger side. i was hoping it is just a simple wiring problem so im going to take the cards off. does any1 kno wat the problem might be. im a bit of a n00b!

what exactly do you mean?

are you saying it only locks both doors from the pass' side only? what happend when you use key in drivers side? do you have remote locks?

first impression says the switch in the drivers door is faulty.

This may be a problem with the passenger door solenoid.At a certain distance in its stroke it sends a signal via wire to the other solenoid.But probably a connection thats dirty

sounds like the doors aren't talking to eachother. there is a wire that joins the door motors, so if u lock 1, it locks the other.


undo the connector on the passenger and drivers door..... the rubber bit between the door hinges and see if any off the pins have snapped off, or look corroded.


spray some WD40 in it and see if it works.


if not, it's prob a wire come off insie the door.... but most likely it's come off in that door connector.
