Anybody have an idea of how much i'd be looking to get my rear window cut to fit the spoiler and any suggestions on a company that might do it??

Thanks
Lee

this might be a long shot, but, when my rear window was smashed in and i called up my insurance for a new one, they asked if a spoiler was fitted, i said no as i own an SX and im not in to the modding thing, but, if they ask you and you say yes...providing your covered it'll only cost you £50...ish

...as i said its a long shot!!!happy.gif

The HGT/HLX spoiler is bolted through the rear window, therefore if you are going for a factory fit then you need the rear window from a HLX or HGT. Thats what I did, my car was already in the bodyshop and the bloke only charged a £10 for the swop.

So if you want a factory fit get a new rear window, if not try Tiger Seal but I'm not sure on how well it will hold due the fact the HLX/HGT spoiler doesn't have much space to put the Tiger Seal.

The previous post was trying to help you by telling you to go through your insurance to get the right window i.e the HLX one you need to fit it properly.

Chris

PS - I dont think its worth cutting/drilling your window, it will most likely end in tears or broken window.

Hi Lee
This is at the top of my mod list at the moment.
Autoglass want £270+Vat for glass fitted. Dont phone the call centre they are useless drive down to your local office and have a chat

Autoglass PN for the spoiler with 5 holes is 3348BGSHBZ1H

The price was too hight for me. I have decided to try and remove glass from a scrap car and either fit it myself or get autoglass to fit it.

Cheers
Adrian

The other method is to remove the bolts on the spoiler, and use tiger seal to glue it onto the window.

A fair few members have done this over the years, and it's just as strong as bolting it on.
