Strange radio problem ...

Hello gents.

I've just bought myself a 2000 1.2 SX Bravo second-hand, and have found a very bizarre problem with the radio. When it is switched on, in its current default channel tuned to Radio One, there's no problem. However if I attempt to change channel, or re-tune it, the volume shoots up to 100 and stays there despite turning the control frantically in the opposite direction.

Anyone ever experience this problem?

Newer heard of such a problem, but IMO its a bad soldered point or similar. Get your self a new aftermarket HU and change the original.
