just got back from holiday and my cars got heat stroke or something...
when i accelerate no matter how hard or lightly or wat gear or speed, it does it really slowly and jerks, then when it hits about 3000 it goes to normal.

can anyone think wat might be wrong? will it be expensive?

Engine size?

Does the revs move up then speed eventually catches with it or does revs build up really slowly?

If its the latter is the engine management light not on? Sounds like a new MAF needed

its a 1.8

the speed and the revs just dont seem to be doing anything till the 3000 mark. it accelerates but nowhere near as quick as 2 weeks ago.

if it is the latter how much would a repair be, i have a 2 month warranty from the dealership

what engine,

mass air flow meter is £70 plus easy to fit, make sure u get a genuine bosch one not a copy off ebay

If you have warranty, take it to them.
The MAF could be the problem, but its not so common on siemens ones that you have on 1,8.
Try resetting the ECU if you want-may cure the problem.
