please can some one help i need a step by step guide to setting timing on brava 1.2 16v

you will need to lock the camshaft and have the four pistons inline

First put the pistons inline. Then rotate the camshaft so you can put the locking tool in the cutout on the shaft.Slacken the camshaft bolt. Better still take it out and put threadlock on when replacing it. Put the belt on and tension it. Ensure the pistons are still in-line then put the camshaft bolt in and tighten to the specified torque. take off the locking tool and turn the crankshaft by hand 2 complete turns and check the pistons are still inline when the locking tool is inserted. You can use a 10 mm drill as a locking tool but I have a pair of these with 4 dowels to align the pistons. I am willing to donate these to the club for use by members when needed as I am now 74 years old and getting a bit past it now. Let me know
