well i finally got my rear disc conversion done
after jacking the car up was remove the wheel
then remove centre dust cap and centre hub nut then remove the 2 drum bolts then slacken off and remove handbrake cable and then remove drum then clamp brake hose and undo brake pipe on the rear of the drum and remove pipe altogether then undo 2 bolts that hold the rear of the drum to the swing arm then remove hub and rear part of drum i was then left with the stub axle then bolted on the rear plate and stone guard then placed the thin washer on the stub axle followed by the hub and hub nut then put the discs on followed by the calipers and then the brake pipes and then handbrake cables then bleed up the brakes

but after all this i have found that i need to replace 1 handbrake cable as it has seized up and the drivers side caliper handbrake arm does not return fully to its resting place when handbrake is released

so my question is are all the rear calipers the same on the bravo hgt marea 20v and the coupe and does all models of the coupe have rear discs
anyway here is a couple of pics

There is no need to swap your original hubs over for the conversion. I'm suprised you used old discs and pads. A few quid would of got you new ones. Same with the hand brake cables, best to buy new. In answer to your last question, no not all Bravo/a, Marea and Coupe rear discs are the same. MK1 and MK2 are different. Earlier ones are cast, the later ones are alluminum. But the parts you need with probably be the same.

i used my original hubs but u still have to remove them to get the back of the drum off and put the plate on for the stone guard and caliper bracket,
so i have a spare pair of hubs that i didnt use
as for new disc and pads they where fairly new anyway thats why i never changed them and i didnt think about the cables before we had actually fitted them and found the drivers side has stretched and siezed

as for it being easy yes it was not a bad job as i got the complete swing arms of the donor car so i had everything i needed including the brake pipes so it was a straight forward strip it done and then refit in reverse on mine
