Hello! I remapped my ECU on my fiat bravo hgt -98

i´ve done balancing weighting on the whole motor incl . clutch

Port and Polish the cylinderhead

Lighted flywheel!

And i´ve built 2.5" Exhaust system from the Exhaustmanifold!

I´ve got 145.9 Bhp before remapping

and 151.9 bhp after.

So i just gained 6bhp for remapping the Ecu and i have tuned the engine also!
I´ve got quite disappointed for spending about 2000£ on just the engine for tuning

I wonder if the frontpipe that i rebuilt to 2.5" instead of the OE Frontpipe, if that makes me less Horsepower? I´ve heard after that the frontpipe is important on a Non-turbo car!

How much do you guys got after remapping a standard bravo hgt?

Greetings / Emil

£2000 for a 6BHP (actual 4.9BHP) gain. You could of transplanted a 2.0 20V turbo for that money.

and thats assuming the RR was correct. its not an exact science and each RR is going to give a different number

i think the bloke wanted some help/advice and info and unless he spends all day on the bravo forum he may not know about the turbo conversion.
151.9 - 145.9 = 6
put ur old 'front pipe' back on mate then try the remap.
its also worth remembering that as an engine clocks up more miles it loses power due to engine wear etc(u never know what it was putting out before the mods)

might have lost a lot of back pressure, naturally aspirated engines need it otherwise it can lead to cylinders losing pressure and other probs.

i wonder if the car feels faster than what's on the paper though? i heard someone remapped theirs after a load of work and it only gained a few BHP, but peaked lower in the rpm making it considerably faster? might be wrong.

yeah, i know some tuning places that will squeeze every last bhp out of each engine when they remap it(just to look good on paper)but its better to have a really smooth power curve imo anyway lol.
a lad i know has a twin turbo skyline and now its single turbo, yeah power has gone up but the turbo lag is awfull!
