With the arrival of my second child the time has come to reluctantly depart with my beloved HGT. It is a P reg 97, superb condition. It has done 70k and has been garaged since owning it 10 years ago. It is black, full leather, tinted windows, brand new alloys/tyres, AC, sunroof. Will sell for £895 - any interest?

Cambelt was done at 55k and so is good to go. An expensive job as you are aware!
I am in south shropshire, Ludlow.

Pics I will get onto it!

Cheers

Thanks James happy.gif

Ludlow is a bit of a trek, especially for someone who currently has no wheels! LOL wink.gif

Appreciate the answers and look forward to seeing the pics. Not ruling anything out yet wink.gif

That cambelt will still be due ASAP unless it went from 55k to 70k in the space of 2 years.

That's true, but I have always missed my old HGT and this seemed like a good little buy! wink.gif

And as for lower tax, nothing I can afford comes into the £35 a year bracket, so that idea is out of the window.

However, I have been positively encouraged by what I have found on AutoTrader and eBay but fear I may have to return to the land of Mondeo.

Bottom line is that I need something cheap that if/when it goes wrong, is cheap to repair. Ford's tend to fit that bill. Shame really, because I've seen some really good examples of cars like Laguna's, Xantia's, Primera's & Volvo's, none of which are cheap to maintain sad.gif

Hopefully have the cash in the bank by Wednesday so we will see how the land lies then. Need it sorted by the weekend!
