Well round our way we have a lot of "hand wash" springing up,I always use them now. They do a good job too. Use pressure and hand finish with sponge. It takes em about 20 minutes. not bad at all for a fiver

I find that it doesn't really matter because the key to a good finish is in the waxing or polishing rather than the washing.

Personally I prefer to use a pressure wash at a local garage (quick and easy) then drive home (why helps to dry the car) and do the waxing / polishing at home.

only thing about leavin ya car to drip dry is leaves water marks all over it...espech the windows..always chamois it dry and polish the windows happy.gif
I used 2 work at a .handwash centre for years, but only downfall with high pressure washers is they sometimes take the paint off or leak inbetween the window seals..i always do my car at home, dont take long happy.gif

Pressure wash is good for alloys(as long as the paint dos'nt peel) and for underneath the car and the wheelarches. But I wouldnt touch the bravo bumpers with it because it can rip the paint off. Sponge with plenty of water for the body and watch for grit.

now iv become a real sad guy when it comes to cleaning cars...

rins her with the hosepipe
then use a thing called snow foam
and then hand wash using the 2 bucket tecnique
and rins really well
dry using an aqua blade to get rid of the water and then go over with a water magnet to dry her up properly.

realllll sad

Mine get the following:

- Pressure wash swill
- Cover with Simoniz Pressure Washer Fluid
- Cover with Turtle Wax Wash & Wax
- Pressure Wash Swill
- Sponge cover with TW W&W
- Pressure Wash Swill
- Dry with Shamois Leather or Microfibre Towel
- Turtle Wax Alloy Wheel Cleaner
- Turtle Wax Black in a Flash Gloss Finish on tyres and all plastic trim

Bit excessive maybe but fun and looks good afterwards...

Whilst we are on the subject of cleaning methods and products, what would people recommend as a decent polish and wax combination. I havent done mine since I have had it (about 18 months and was thinking about doing it the end of the month...
